Betterfly scoops Marinette into his arms and jumps out of her balcony door before Shadybug and Claw Noir step through the portal, holding a destroyed Maxkov and Nino hostage. Shadybug tells Ladyfly about the horrible life she has where nobody's there to help her. Ladyfly then detransforms back into Marinette as Shadybug looks at her, tears in her eyes.

Wishing Sabine a good night, Marinette transforms into Shadybug and releases Adrien from the handcuffs. Betterfly escapes the area with Marinette still in his arms, Shadybug and Claw Noir arrive at the ground too late. They call out for Betterfly to reveal himself as he and Marinette are hiding behind a wall quite a distance away.
